On March 29, 2015 at around 8:20 pm,
Edward Olmos was at his girlfriend’s
house on the 1400 block of 8th St in
Livingston. Olmos was in the front yard
when Jorge Daniel Vera drove by and
saw him. Vera had been dating Olmos’s
girlfriend until a month prior when
the relationship ended. Vera got out
of the vehicle and attacked Olmos but
was chased away by the mother of his
ex-girlfriend.
Vera went around the block and returned.
He again attacked Olmos only this time
with the aid of the passenger in his
vehicle. Vera fatally stabbed Olmos
in an assassination styled attack then
fled the scene with the passenger.
Jorge Vera is wanted for the murder
of Eduardo Olmos. The family of Olmos
has posted a reward for information
leading to the arrest of Jorge Vera
who is described as 25 years old, standing
5 foot, 6 inches and weighing approximately
175 pounds.
